29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a. In the open mill area, a Tecknics CNC Mill, Model RC-724-EX, Serial Number 88960419, had a flexible cord connected to a Fanuk motor that was not connected to a device and fitting so that strain relief was provided. b. In the tool area, a manual Bridgeport Textron, Serial Number J223450, had an outlet box serviced with a flexible cord that was pulled out of its coupling putting strain on its terminals.
