29 CFR 1926.501(b) (1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: This violation occurred on November 01, 2012, from the unfinished second story of the townhomes located at 2155 Marilla Street, Dallas, Texas 75201 and from the second story of the townhomes located at 2185 Marilla Street, Dallas, Texas 75201. Instance: a) at least two (2) employees on building number 2155 were performing framing work while walking and working from the second story in front of a window seal without the use of fall protection and were exposed to the hazard of falling more than 13.5-feet to the ground below. Instance: b) at least two (2) employees on building number 2185 were performing framing work without the use of fall protection and were exposed to the hazard of falling more than 20-feet to the ground below.
