Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: (a) The rotating shaft which powers and spins the front wheel of the abrasive belt sanding machine extends in distance well beyond half the diameter of the shaft, exposing the operator to potential contact with the high-speed rotating shaft. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) A relocatable power tap located behind the dip tank used to power an overhead hoist, lights, and a radio was attached to the wall in such a way as to violate the Underwriter Laboratories Inc. standard UL1363; the physical mounting of a relocatable power tap is allowable as long as it shall not require the use of tools to remove it. The relocatable power tap in question was hung horizontally and fixed to the wall with two brackets fastened with screws. (b) A relocatable power tap located to the right of the entrance to the employee break room used to power lights and a rechargeable device was attached to the wall in such a way as to violate the Underwriter Laboratories Inc. standard UL1363; the physical mounting of a relocatable power tap is allowable as long as it shall not require the use of tools to remove it. The relocatable power tap in question was hung vertically and fixed to the wall with screws. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (a) The employer did not create a written hazard communication program for its employees to inform them of the hazards of the chemicals they are using including but not limited to: ENTRON Non-Flammable Critical Cleaning and Vapor Degreasing Solvent, which is composed of n-Propyl Bromide and 1,2 Butylene Oxide in addition to proprietary components; chemicals which pose a variety of health hazards. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
