29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift. The employer did not ensure employees working in aerial lifts are provided with body belts with lanyards or fall protection. This violation was observed on or about November 8, 2012, eastside of commercial building where two employees installing lights on exterior of building from a JLG Rough Terrain Aerial lift, approximately 25 feet above ground, without body belts with lanyards attached to boom or basket. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903. 19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are provided body belts with lanyards and are protected when operating and working from an aerial lifts.
