29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level by fall protection established in paragraphs (g)(1)(i)-(vii) of this section: a) The Vintage Lofts at Westend, north west corner - an employee in the process of plastering the exterior of the building was exposed to a 45'5" fall hazard in that, guard rails were not installed at the end of the work platform on tubular welded frame scaffolding, 6'5" sections, 7 levels high.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) The Vintage Lofts at Westend - employees standing on a flat ledge, doing metal lathe work were exposed to an approximate 45 foot fall hazard, in that, fall protection equipment was not installed or utilized. Observed on or about 11/14/2012.
