29 CFR 1910.219(e)(1)(i): Horizontal belts which had both runs seven feet or less from the floor level were not guarded with a guard that extended to at least fifteen inches above the belt:    (a)  Employee(s) operating the Maxmill at the northeast corner of the production department were exposed to caught in / amputation hazards due no guard being provided for the open section on the left and right side of the motor housing section.  The rotating belt had a maximum spindle speed of 2,720 rpms and was approximately 69 inches from the ground floor. The left and right side opening was approximately 2-1/2 inches by 10-1/2 inches.    (b)  Employee(s) operating the Craftsman drill press at the south wall of the production department were exposed to caught in / amputation hazards due to no guard being provided for the rotating belts of the drill press approximately 67 inches from the ground floor.

The maximum speed of the Maxmill is approximately 2,720 rpms and the opening is approximately 2-1/2 inches by 10-1/2 inches.  The left and right open sections were approximately 69 inches from the ground floor.    (b)  Employee(s) operating the Craftsman drill press at the south wall of the production department were exposed to caught in / amputation hazards due to no guard being provided for the pulleys of the drill press approximately 67 inches from the ground floor.

(b)  In the production department the plug end wiring of an extension cord was hard wired into the south side of an electrical panel box, thus exposing employee(s) to electrical hazards.
