29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On November 16, 2012 at a jobsite located at 310 W. Army Trail Rd., Bloomingdale IL, employees were working from a roof hydro blasting paint off the side of the building. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 8.3-8.7 feet. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
