29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Satake line, upper level: The covers for the access panels on the hoppers at the end of each of the fill augers for the Satake optical sorting machines were not secured in place. One fastener was used in one corner of each of the covers, allowing the operator to easily push the cover out of the way to access the opening.
