29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. The Employer does not ensure that flexible cords are connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transferred to joints. This violation was observed on or about 15 Nov 2012 where the outer insulation of a cord for a power strip that was supplied power to computer equipment had separated conductors from the plug exposing workers to electrical shock hazards.
