On or about 11/20/2012 at 1336 Union Street, the employer failed to provide phlebotomy technicians with training on how to assemble and use engineering controls, including but not limited to sharps containers and safety devices, until after the employees had been performing work with occupational exposure. Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1030(g)(2)(ii)(C), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315236117, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/16/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 600 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306.
