29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. Line A and D- Employees were not protected from strains, lacerations, and crushing injuries where employees were exposed to unguarded in running nip points and pinch points from the tape machines and the conveyor belts at the front of the Aesus side labelers. On or about 11/5/2012 an employee sustained a hand injury where their fingers were caught in the nip point between the vertical opposed conveyor belt and the side of the product which was being loaded into the Aesus side labeler.
