Natural and synthetic fiber rope slings shall be immediately removed from service if any of the following conditions are present such as broken or cut fibers: a) On or about November 16, 2012, in the Loading Department, the employees were using a 2 foot wide Pro Edge synthetic fiber sling, that was severely cut and frayed, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by the load.
