29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns: a) Jobsite located at 114 Tennessee Avenue, Beach Heaven NJ 08008: Employees were exposed to head injuries when installing rails for the deck while working below the employees from J. Nelke Roofing Inc. while they were installing the roof from a pump jack scaffold. The employees from Costal Roofing were working without using head protection, observed on or about 11/14/2012.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Jobsite located at 114 Tennessee Avenue, Beach Heaven NJ 08008: Company employees from Coastal Roofing were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet to the ground below without using fall protection while installing new railing on the deck area of a residential building under construction, observed on or about 11/14/2012. COASTAL ROOFING WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 1926.501(b)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 315656124, CITATION 1, ITEM 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS FINAL ORDER ON 8/21/2011 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE AT 114 TENNESSEE AVE, BRANT BEACH NJ 080008.
