29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(i): Each employer having an employee(s) with occupational exposure as defined by paragraph (b) of this section shall establish a written Exposure Control Plan designed to eliminate or minimize employee exposure. Atlanta West Endoscopy Center, LLC. - The employer had not established an exposure control plan for employees performing and assisting with medical procedures such as, but not limited to, injections and IVs, in order to eliminate or minimize employee exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Deficiencies include, but are not limited to, no exposure determination, no review and update at least annually to document changes in technology (such as safe sharp devices) that eliminate or reduce exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(i): Engineering and work practice controls were not used to eliminate or minimize employees exposure: Needles and scalpels used at the facility were not equipped with engineered sharps protection exposing employees to the increased risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens due to contaminated needlesticks and other percutaneous injuries, such as but not limited to, Terumo needle 19Gx1", Boston Scientific Radial Jaw 4, and Boston Scientific Captiflex.
