29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) Randy J. Smith Construction & Roofing, Inc. on or about November 29, 2012, at the address of 902 Perry St. Port Clinton, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while removing old roofing material and re-roofing a residential type structure. Employees were exposed to an 18 ft. fall to the ground below. Randy J. Smith Construction & Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311609168, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on July 06, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 3760 E. State St. Port Clinton, OH.
