29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest system. On December 4, 2012 an employee was not protected from a fall while walking/working from the roof of a commercial building, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of 14.2 feet. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
