29 CFR 1926.701(b):  All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement.    a.    On or about 11/16/2012, Matric Enterprises, Inc- Walgreens- St Thomas, Lot 5 & 5A, St Thomas V.I.  Concrete slab foundation area:  Employees were walking nearby unprotected steel rebars while accessing the construction site.      NOTE:  Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
