29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a) Autoclave Area: Employee, Technicians, remove three liter containers of potassium phosphate solutions heated to approximately 250 degrees Fahrenheit, and the employee was not provided with or required to utilize personal protective equipment, including but not limited to aprons, to protect their body from burns caused by splash of hot solutions, on or about 12/04/2012. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
