29 CFR 1910.106(e)(9)(iii): Combustible waste material and residues in a building or unit operating area were not kept to a minimum, stored in covered metal receptacles and disposed of daily:  On or about December 6, 2012 the employer did not ensure that combustible waste materials was kept to a minimum or stored in a covered metal receptacle at the following locations:  1) 700 Connecticut Avenue- The paint mixing room housed a full plastic container used to hold flammable waste materials. The container was emptied monthly.  2)  650 Connecticut Avenue- The paint mixing room housed a metal, flammable waste container overflowing with dried waste material, which would not allow the container to close.

29 CFR 1910.107(b)(9): A clear space of not less than 3 feet on all sides was not kept free from storage or combustible construction:  On or about December 5, 2012, the employer did not ensure that a clear space of at least three (3) feet was maintained around the following paint booths:  1) 700 Connecticut Avenue, materials were stored around the Global Spray booth included a 3M cabinet, small plastic bottles, cleaner, a Ridgid wet vac.  2) 700 Connecticut Avenue, materials stored around the Garmet Spray booth included a storage cabinet housing painting materials and a Norton storage cabinets.  3) 650 Connecticut Avenue, materials stored around the preparation spray booth included a car-o-soft machine, a tire mounting device, a metal waste receptacle and a seven (7) foot tall material storage box.  The company was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational and Safety health Standard which was contained in inspection number 314405242, citation number 1, item 2, issued on 08/18/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 700 Connecticut Boulevard, East Hartford Connecticut. The final order for this inspection was 09/10/2011

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii):  The required working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, was used for storage:   1) 700 Connecticut Boulevard, East Hartford: On or about December 6, 2012, the employer did not provide a clear space to access an electrical panel located behind the spray paint booth. Storage of boxes, a flammable waste container and other containers were blocking the access.    2) 700 Connecticut Boulevard: On or about December 6, 2012, the employer did not provide a clear space to access electrical panels identified as B.S-1 and B.S-2. A large industrial fan and a waste container was blocking access.   The company was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational and Safety health Standard which was contained in inspection number 314405242, citation number 2, item 1, issued on 08/18/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 700 Connecticut Boulevard, East Hartford Connecticut. The final order for this inspection was 09/10/2011.
