The employer is to make this determination in accordance with either paragraph (d)(2), the scheduled monitoring option, or paragraph (d)(3), the performance-oriented option.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(5)(ii):     The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the appropriate hazard warnings:    (a) Dynomax, Inc. (Buffalo Grove, IL), Anodizing Lines - Tanks containing hazardous chemicals were not labeled, tagged or marked with the appropriate hazard warnings.  SEAL tank contains a small amount of chromic acid flake and sodium chromate; CHEM FILM tank contains Alodine 1200S which contains 30-60% chromium VI oxide; DEOX tank contains Turco Deoxidizer 6 and Deoxidizer 16, both of which contain 10-30% chromic acid; the Deoxidizer 6 also contains 1-5% hydrogen fluoride and the Deoxidizer 16 contains 5-10% hydrogen fluoride; ETCH tank contains Turco Mil-Etch which contains 60-100% sodium hydroxide. Hazard warnings for these chemicals were not included with the labels.     Chromium VI can cause lung cancer, airway sensitization or asthma, nasal ulcerations and septum perforations, skin sensitization or allergic contact dermatitis, irritant contact dermatitis and skin ulcerations, and eye irritation. Sodium hydroxide can cause severe irritation and burns to the skin and eyes. 	    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
