The cross braces shall be of such length as will automatically square and align vertical members so that the erected scaffold is always plumb, level, and square. All brace connections shall be secured.    a. Fleitas and E. Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a. Fleitas Ave. and E. Scenic Dr., Pass Christian MS - On or about December 11, 2012 two employees were observed being more than 6 feet above the lower level without having fall protection while bricking a chimney.  One employee was crouching close to the edge of the roof. The second employee had one foot on the scaffold platform and one foot on the roof.

The employees were exposed to Argos Masonry Cement Type N which is considered hazardous.
