29 CFR 1926.304(d):     Guarding. All portable, power-driven circular saws shall be equipped with guards above and below the base plate or shoe. The upper guard shall cover the saw to the depth of the teeth, except for the minimum arc required to permit the base to be tilted for bevel cuts. The lower guard shall cover the saw to the depth of the teeth, except for the minimum arc required to allow proper retraction and contact with the work. When the tool is withdrawn from the work, the lower guard shall automatically and instantly return to the covering position.      Jobsite:  Crews were using two table saws on site to cut wood trim and wood siding with no guards in place exposing employees to cuts, lacerations and amputations.

29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2):     Identification, splices, and terminations -    Flexible cords shall be used only in continuous lenghts without splice or tap.  Hard sercive flexible cords No. 12 or larger may be repaired if spliced so that the splice retains the insulation, outer sheath  properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced.    Jobsite:  Employees were using extension cords which had damaged femaile fittings and torn exposed wires that were covered with electrical tape exposed to the outdoor enviroment exposing employees to potential electrical shock.
