29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): Traffic control signs or devices used for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (AMUTCD"), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, September 3, 1993, FHWA-SA-94-027 or Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millenium Edition, December 2000, FHWA. a) Eastbound and Westbound Victory Street at Intersection of Jefferson Street - On about December 12, 2012, the employer did not ensure that there were sufficient advanced warning signs in conformance with Section 6C.04 (Millennium Edition), to alert road users of an upcoming work zone, exposing employees to struck-by hazards from vehicular traffic. b) Eastbound and Westbound Victory Street at Intersection of Jefferson Street - On about December 12, 2012, the employer did not ensure that drums used as channelizing devices to give motorists advance warning of an obstruction in the roadway were in conformance with Section 6C.08 (Millennium Edition) in that the merging tapers in the temporary traffic control zone were insufficient in length with what was required for the 35 mile per hour posted speed limit, exposing employees to struck-by hazards from vehicular traffic. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED
