29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Examination. The employer shall ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Safety of equipment shall be determined on the basis of the following considerations: On or about December 11, 2012, employees were working on a residential home using a compressor that had a cut through the insulation of the power cord which exposed the internal conductors. This exposed employees to potential electric shock and/or burns.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were other provisions of paragraph (b) of this section used to provide an alternative fall protection measure: On or about December 11, 2012, employees were working on a residential home. One employee was working from atop of the roof without wearing any fall protection. Employee was exposed to a potential fall of approximately 9.5 ft. to the ground below. ANTONIO RUBALCABA WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 3135496994, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON FEBRUARY 22, 2010, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 5811 DIAMOND POINT, EL PASO, TX 79912.
