29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: (a) SPBS: On or about December 17, 2012, and at times prior thereto, employees did not have the ability to safely and efficiently exit the building without running into or avoiding items such as an industrial fan and/or forklift trailers/attachments that were placed in front of and behind an exit route that was fabricated by cutting into the plastic barrier near the construction zone. 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: (a) SPBS: On or about December 17, 2012, and at times prior thereto, employees were operating keying stations which include conveyor belts powered pneumatically by a 460V Sullair air compressor. The safety knife switch assigned to the compressor was blocked by a desk and tri-pod, subsequently exposing employees to the inability of being able to utilize such safety features in the event of an emergency at the keying station.
