29 CFR 1926.59 NOTE: The requirements applicable to construction work under this section are identical to those set forth at 29 CFR 1910.1200 of this chapter.    29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:     a) Cannon Management Group, Chicago, IL, at jobsite Captain James Lovell Federal Health Care Center, Building 7, North Chicago, IL- The employer did not have a written Hazard Communication Program when employees used hazardous chemicals such as diesel fuel used for the lift/boom and dust containing 50% crystallline quartz silica resulting from grinding and cutting brick and mortar while masonry work was performed during refurbishing.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.59 NOTE: The requirements applicable to construction work under this section are identical to those set forth at 29 CFR 1910.1200 of this chapter.    29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:     a) Cannon Management Group Chicago, IL, at jobsite Capt. James. A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center, Building 7,  North Chicago, IL-The employer did not provide employees information and training as required by the standard when employees were using hazardous chemicals at their worksite such as diesel fuel for the lift/boom and when employees were exposed to hazardous chemicals such as dust containing 50% crystallline quartz silica resulting from grinding and cutting while masonry work was performed during refurbishing.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center, Builidng 7, North Chicago, IL - The employer did not maintain a list or inventory of hazardous chemicals known to be present at the workplace. Hazardous chemical present included, but were not limited to, diesel fuel for the lift/boom and silica dust generataed during the building refurbishing.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
