29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a) Jobsite, 515 Steen Street, Carnegie, Pennsylvania, 15106: Observed on or about December 19, 2012, employees engaged in roofing activities on a two story residential dwelling were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall protection systems. The slope of the roof was approximately 9 in 12 (vertical to horizontal). The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 23 feet to ground below.

The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 23 feet to ground below while engaged in roofing activities.

Employees using this ladder to access the roof were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 23 feet to ground below.
