29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators employees from hazards created by ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a)U.S. Postal Service at 755 E. 56th Ave., Denver, CO 80217: Machine guarding was not provided in that the Powermatic/Burke mill in the machine shop were not fitted with a guard to protect the employees from rotating parts. This condition exposed the employees to an amputation hazard. (b)U.S. Postal Service at 755 E. 56th Ave., Denver, CO 80217: Machine guarding was not provided in that the Enterprise lathe in the machine shop was not fitted with a guard to protect the employee from rotating parts. This condition exposed the employees to an amputation hazard. (c)U.S. Postal Service at 755 E. 56th Ave., Denver, CO 80217: Machine guarding was not provided in that Powermatic drill press was not fitted with a guard to protect the employees from rotating parts. This condition exposed the employees to an amputation hazard. (d)U.S. Postal Service at 755 E. 56th Ave., Denver, CO 80217: Machine guarding was not provided in that the horizontal steel cutting bandsaw in the machine shop was not fitted with a guard to protect the unused portion of the blade. This condition exposed the employees to an amputation hazard. (e)U.S. Postal Service at 755 E. 56th Ave., Denver, CO 80217: Machine guarding was not provided in that the Rockwell tablesaw was not fitted with a guard to protect the unused portion of the blade.
