Pellet and Texture Line Unistackers- Employees working from the elevated platform between the in feed conveyor belts for the Unistackers were not protected from a fall of approximately 5 feet where guardrails were not installed along the platform edges.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. Pellet and Texture Line Bag Hangers- Employees operating bag hangers were not protected from crushing and amputation hazards where the point of operation was not guarded. b. Pellet and Texture Line Bag Sewing Machines- Employees working near the sewing machines were not protected from laceration hazards where the point of operation was not guarded. c. Pellet and Texture Line Bag Hangers- Employees working near head and tail pulleys on the conveyor belts were exposed to laceration and amputation hazards from unguarded rotating parts. d. Pellet Line Unistacker- Employees operating the Unistacker were not protected from crushing hazards where the point of operation was not guarded.
