29 CFR 1926.501(b)(14): Each employee working on, at, above, or near wall openings (including those with chutes attached), where the outside bottom edge of the wall opening was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels and the inside bottom edge of the wall opening was less than 39 inches (1.0 m) above the walking/working surface, was not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system: a) On or about December 28, 2012, the General Contractor and sub-contractors were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet to the concrete ground below, while working near a window opening, 8 feet tall and 126 inches wide, which were not protected with a standard guardrail system. b) On or about December 28, 2012, the General Contractor and sub-contractors were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet to the concrete ground below, while working near 3 window openings, 8 feet tall and 48 inches wide, which were not protected with a standard guardrail system. a) On or about December 28, 2012, the General Contractor and sub-contractors were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet to the concrete ground below, while working near 2 window openings, 8 feet tall and 60 inches wide, which were not protected with a standard guardrail system.
