29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): The measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used; and, (a) Questar Energy Services, Inc, Meter housing site, GGU Van Ordstrand 23D-30-691 location of Bill Barrett Corp, Garfield County, Colorado: On or about November 29, 2012, the employer did not develop, implement and train employees on procedures to be used to protect themselves from exposure to the fire and explosion hazards associated with natural gas. Employees performed natural gas quality control and dew point testing inside a cab of a truck. Hoses were run from a source of natural gas to the testing equipment located inside the truck. This set up the potential for natural gas to accumulate inside the truck, exposing the equipment operator to fire and explosion hazards. On November 29, 2012, an employee was burned when the natural gas was ignited inside the cab of a truck.
