29 CFR 1910.178(q)(1):     Any power-operated industrial truck not in safe operating condition was not taken out of service, and/or repairs were not made by authorized personnel:    1.) Employees operating the Alice-Chalmers forklift are exposed to the hazards of operating a forklift that is not in safe operating condition: the forklift had a propane fuel leak, had uncovered terminals on the battery, and did not have a working horn. The forklift was not appropriately tagged and removed from service for repairs.    2.) Employees operating the Towmotor forklift are exposed to the hazards of operating a forklift that is not in safe operating condition: the forklift did not have functioning brakes, and did not have a working horn. The forklift was not appropriately tagged and removed from service for repairs.    There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
