29 CFR 1910.242(a): Hand and portable powered tools or equipment were not kept in safe condition:(a)(LOCATION)(IDENTIFY SPECIFIC OPERATION(S) AND/OR CONDITIONS)(DESCRIBE HAZARD(S) WHERE NECESSARY) The employer is failing to protect employees from potential point of operation and amputation hazards associated with employees using internally fabricated tools in lieu of established work procedures. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 28800 Ida Street, Valley, NE 68064, where the employer has employees using an unapproved company internally fabricated tool as a pry bar during the separation of the hydraulic plunger from the end of irrigation pipes.
