29 CFR 1910.181(i)(3)(i): The load was not well secured and/or properly balanced in the sling or lifting device before it was lifted more than a few inches: At Well # 10, South West of Potter, NE: The employer failed to ensure that employees using the sandline on the truck mounted derrick ensured that the load was properly balanced before it was moved more than a few inches. The employer instructed employees to move a pair of Hydraulic Tongs Model # 58-93-R on to a flat bed pick up for the purposes of removing them from the jobsite.
