29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): The employer does not protect employees engaged in residential roofing construction 6ft or more above lower levels from falling. This violation was observed on or about January 10, 2013, on the roof of a newly built house at or near 2814 Morgensen Dr. where employees were exposed to an approximately 30 foot fall hazard while installing roofing paper without a fall protection system. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that each employee engaged in residential roofing constructionat at a height of 6 ft or more above a lower level are protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.
