29 CFR 1910.24(e): Fixed stairs were not installed at angles to the horizontal of between 30 deg. and 50 deg. Any uniform combination of rise/tread dimensions were not used that would result in a stairway at an angle to the horizontal within the permissible range. a. Smith Family Foods, LLC located in Tiffin, Ohio: On or about January 17, 2013, the employer did not ensure the stair treads for the fixed industrial stair used to access the scale above the bagging machine were of uniform height.
