29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Deleted via ISA. (b) Employees were potentially exposed to serious injury from the use of a 36" American lathe without a guard that fully covered the rotating chuck.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: (a) On or about January 10, 2013 employees were potentially exposed to serious injury from the use of compressed air nozzle that was not designed to reduce air pressure to less than 30 p.s.i. The air nozzle was located in the building 63 carpentry shop at 5555 N Channel Ave in Portland, Oregon. The employer was cited for a violation of the same standard and/or same hazard on 04/18/2008, Inspection #305942260, date 06/02/2008 of Final Order/settlement and means of abatement.
