29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(i): Each employee who was constructing a leading edge 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:Note: If the employer could demonstrate that it was infeasible or created a greater hazard to use these systems, a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502 should have been developed and implemented. At the job site, 2910 W. Central, Wichita, Kansas, employees were installing new plywood deck on roof rafters with a 4 in 12 slope without a fall protection system in place. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 15 feet to the concrete surface below.
