29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rests on grinding machinery was not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: Dayton Freight Lines, Inc., located at 28240 Oregon Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551: On or about January 17, 2013, the employer did not ensure that the left side of the Jet Equipment & Tools 8 bench grinder (Model # JBG-8A, Serial # 071222) was equipped with a work rest that was adjusted to 1/8 inch away from the abrasive wheel. Employees that operated the grinder were exposed to injuries from potentially jammed work and/or to struck-by hazards in a case of wheel breakage. No additional abatement information is needed for this item.
