29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. Employees working from a system-engineered roof approximately 34 feet above grade installing insulation followed by steel decking, were not using fall protection at the sides of the roof. Professional Steel Services Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311253793, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 3, 2008 with respect to a workplace located at 15229 Willowbrook Road, South Beloit, Illinois. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d)
