29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: a) Employees engaged in carpentry work were not protected from fall hazards of approximately 19 feet to the ground while working along unprotected edges of the balcony. RAG Construction, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA violation number 311796122, citation 1, item 2, issued on February 21, 2008 and became final order on or about February 27, 2008 with respect to a workplace located at 9055 Keystone Ave., Skokie, IL 60076. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
