29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(v)(A): Branch circuits shall originate in an approved power outlet or panelboard: Instance 1: On or about 01/22/2013, in the MDS office, the employer did not ensure that the power strip utilized to provide electricity to various pieces of office equipment, including the computer tower, monitor, fan, and printer, originated in an approved power outlet; used a six (6) outlet power strip connected in series (daisy-chained) to an extension cord. Instance 2: On or about 01/22/2013, in the Director of Nurses' office, the employer did not ensure that the power strip utilized to provide electricity to various pieces of equipment, including the computer tower, monitor, printer, television, and phone charger, originated in an approved power outlet; used two (2) - six (6) outlet power strips connected in series (daisy-chained).
