29 CFR 1910.95(g)(6): New audiograms were not obtained annually for each employee exposed to noise at or above an 8 hour time weighted average of 85 dBA: a) Bridge Post Shop, on or about 2/12/13: An employee working as a Welder was exposed to continuous noise at a level of 216% of the dose of the OSHA permissible exposure limit. The equivalent dBA for the 216% dose is approximately 95.6 dBA calculated as the 8 hour time weighted sound pressure level. The sampling was conducted on 2/12/13 for 389 minutes. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 91 minutes not sampled. Employee was wearing ear plugs. Last audiogram conducted was 8/5/09. b) Bridge Rail Shop, on or about 2/12/13: An employee working as a Machine Operator was exposed to continuous noise at a level of 98.5% of the dose of the OSHA permissible exposure limit. The equivalent dBA for the 98.5% dose is approximately 89.9 dBA calculated as the 8 hour time weighted sound pressure level. The sampling was conducted on 2/12/13 for 380 minutes. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 100 minutes not sampled. Employee was wearing ear plugs. Last audiogram conducted was 8/5/09. c) Bridge Rail Shop, on or about 2/12/13: An employee working as a Machinist was exposed to continuous noise at a level of 97.2% of the dose of the OSHA permissible exposure limit. The equivalent dBA for the 87.2% dose is approximately 89.8 dBA calculated as the 8 hour time weighted sound pressure level. The sampling was conducted on 2/12/13 for 379 minutes. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 101 minutes not sampled. Employee was wearing ear plugs. Last audiogram conducted was 8/5/09.
