29 CFR 1960.8(a): 29 CFR 1960.8(a): The Agency head did not furnish employment and a place of employment to each employee that were free from recognized hazards that caused or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm: a) LSD Garrison Mobile Equipment Branch repair shop, Building 5400 - On or about, and at times prior to February 25, 2013, employees were allowed to use battery chargers that were not installed and used per manufacturer's safe operating procedures. The battery chargers were attached to wooden pallets (combustible material), thus exposing the employees to life safety hazards such as fire and smoke inhalation. b) LSD General Warehouse Storage, Building 1330, Bay 3 - On or about, and at times prior to February 26, 2013, employees were allowed to use battery chargers that were not installed and used per manufacturer's safe operating procedures. The battery chargers were attached to a wooden pallet (combustible material), thus exposing the employees to life safety hazards such as fire and smoke inhalation. c) LSD General Warehouse Storage, Building 1330, Bay 5 - On or about, and at times prior to February 26, 2013, employees were allowed to use battery chargers that were not installed and used per manufacturer's safe operating procedures.
