29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about January 29, 2013 and times prior thereto, on dual robot welders 4615, 4616 and 4617 there were no barrier guards or devices to restrict access to the robots work envelope. Employees entering an active robot's work envelope are exposed to struck-by and caught-in hazards.

When the carriage is in the down position it is less than seven above the floor and presents a pinch point hazard for employees working in the area.

Improper use of this equipment exposes employees to the hazards of an electrical shock.
