On or about January 29, 2013 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees were using a DEWALT sliding compound miter saw to cut siding that had several splices in the cord, thereby exposing employees to the electrical hazards.

29 CFR 1926.405(b)(2): Covers and canopies. All pull boxes, junction boxes, and fittings shall be provided with covers. If metal covers are used, they shall be grounded. In energized installations each outlet box shall have a cover, faceplate, or fixture canopy. Covers of outlet boxes having holes through which flexible cord pendants pass shall be provided with bushings designed for the purpose or shall have smooth, well-rounded surfaces on which the cords may bear. a. On or about January 29, 2013 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting finish carpentry work on the ground floor were working around, and/or using electrical outlets that were not provided with covers or face plates to protect against accidental contact, thereby exposing the employee to electrical hazards.
