29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At 6000 SE 2nd St, Tecumseh, KS, mixer(s) with rotating shafts did not have guarding to protect employees from the rotating shafts and collets, exposing employees to a caught in hazard in the following locations: 1) A single Lightnin mixer used to mix manganese in the Attrition Mill area had an unguarded mixing shaft and collet. 2) Two Ligntnin mixers in the manganese/sulfate mix station area had unguarded mixing shafts and collets.
