Information contained in the appendices included but is not limited to, health hazard data, methods of protection, appropriate personal protective equipment, and hygiene practices. Employees could be exposed to lead particulates in the burn off oven.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area: (a) Hardline International, West Unity, Ohio: On or about February 26, 2013, the employer did not ensure that employees working with powder coatings were provided with information on the safe handling of combustible dusts. Employees were not aware of the fire and explosion hazards associated with combustible dusts. (b) Hardline International, West Unity, Ohio: On or about February 26, 2013, the employer did not ensure that employees working with ash from the burn-off oven were provided information on the safe handling of hazardous materials. Employees were not informed of the PPE requirements and potential health effects of exposure to lead present in the ash.

Analysis of an ash sample from the burn off oven revealed the presence of lead indicating that operating and maintaining the oven could expose employees to lead particles.
