29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point-of-operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about January 29, 2013, and at times prior to that date, for employees exposed to struck-by hazards while operating three drill presses (Arboga Maskiner model A4008M Drill Press, Solberga model SE10 Drill Press, Wilton model 71560 Drill Press) during the manufacturing fabrication process at 501 Industrial Road, Canton, South Dakota. (b) On or about January 29, 2013, and at times prior to that date, for employees exposed to struck-by hazards while operating the No. 3 and No. 5 Warner & Swasey lathes during the manufacturing fabrication process at 501 Industrial Road, Canton, South Dakota. (c) On or about January 29, 2013, and at times prior to that date, the machine operator and other employees exposed to being struck by materials becoming dislodged or breaking under pressure while the H-frame hydraulic press was operated during manufacturing fabrication process at 501 Industrial Road, Canton, South Dakota. (d) On or about January 29, 2013, and at times prior to that date, for the machine operator and other employees exposed to caught-in and/or struck-by hazards while the Burny model HPR-260 plasma cutting machine was in motion during the manufacturing fabrication process at 501 Industrial Road, Canton, South Dakota. (e) On or about January 29, 2013, and at times prior to that date, for employees exposed to amputation hazards where hose fittings were applied while operating the DAYCO pneumatic hose crimper at 501 Industrial Road, Canton, South Dakota.
