29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): On 1/31/2013, employees were exposed to Carbon Monoxide at a level above the permissible exposure limit noted in Table Z-1 of 29 CFR 1910.1000 without appropriate engineering or administrative controls. Any equipment and/or technical measures used for this purpose must be approved for each particular use by a competent industrial hygienist or other technically qualified person. Applicable administrative or engineering controls may include, but are not limited to, the following: a) Passive ventilation of warehouse by means of opening egress doors or overhead doors. b) Active ventilation of warehouse by means of industrial ventilation system utilizing industrial fans. c) Regular inspection and maintenance of powered industrial truck addressing Carbon Monoxide levels. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
